We recognised how important time out in nature and away from our screens improved not only our work, but our general wellbeing - so much so we constructed our working day around finding time to be outdoors. Flexibility is key, taking breaks to walk, run, swim when our mind and soul need it. We conduct meetings on fells, forests, and lakesides - and we encourage our clients to do the same. Our studio is nestled in a valley just outside of Llangollen, surrounded by woodland - far removed from the grey urban city we once believed was the only place to be successful. 

The work that we now produce has benefited beyond our expectations. We have freed up our thinking. Removing the shackles of the screen has even opened up how we create - opting for printing, cutting, drawing, sketching, and making marks before we even think about opening up a piece of software. We plan and problem-solve on windy hilltops, craft and shape ideas with our hands, and hone our final outputs on our iPad and Macs.

No day is similar to the next; crafting a brand, illustrating a book, solving a UX problem, designing a new website, creating a hand-cut print, brainstorming user journies, or implementing new UI.
