Nestled deep in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside lies Rectory Farm. The Stanley family have worked the land since 1954. With a farm shop full of home grown veg, a cosy café serving up seasonal produce, and plenty of fruit to ‘pick your own,’ Rectory farm is the perfect place to pull on your wellies and head out for a day in the country.
During the pandemic, nature was a solace. Many sought the natural beauty on their doorstep. There was a newfound reverence for farmers and food producers. Supporting local was a rallying cry, a cause we could all get behind. This sewed seeds of reimagining for Rectory Farm–how could they better serve those who wanted to experience all this glorious nature?
A referral from a fellow agency alongside Kim’s background of growing up on a farm, made it an exciting fit. Rectory Farm didn’t want the traditional or the twee, the usual run of the mill country-style branding.
They wanted something different. Something bold. A mark that would showcase that they were a destination for any young family seeking a good day out.
Working collaboratively, the Stanley family were fired up with opinions and ideas. They were immersed with us in the creative process and were very excited to hear our ideas of what a ‘farm experience’ should be.
We had to create a brand that would translate clearly and cohesively across digital and social media, packaging, signage, and uniforms. We reimagined the brand with an updated and logo that was bravely modern yet simple enough to have longevity.
We explored and played with colour palettes, developed supporting assets to create a brand brimming with personality and breadth. The result is a unique and strong farming enterprise, that is going from strength to strength.
“Kim & Sally were fantastic to work with, they listened carefully to our initial brief and then did extensive research around the farm and used their own expertise to see where our branding could improve in areas we hadn’t recognised. They gave us plenty of choice in the first round of designs and helped us to see the farm from the big picture. We loved all their designs and it was hard to choose one to go with, now the branding is coming to life in online & in print we’ve had so many positive comments.”
